Are Planties safe for my plants?
Yes, Planties are safe for your plants! These fun 3D-printed garden markers and stakes are typically made from PLA (polylactic acid), a plant-based, non-toxic thermoplastic derived from renewable sources like corn starch or sugarcane. PLA does not leach harmful chemicals into the soil under normal conditions—instead, it can slowly break down over years into harmless lactic acid, which is naturally occurring and non-toxic to plants.
While PLA isn't ideal for extreme long-term outdoor exposure due to potential brittleness from UV or constant moisture (better suited for indoor or protected use), it poses no risk of toxicity or harm to your greenery!
